Description: There has been a surge of interest in using ChatGPT and other AI tools for teaching and learning, yet best practices for effective classroom integration are still emerging. In this interactive workshop, ESL teachers will explore practical strategies for leveraging AI to support language development, encourage active learning, and guide students in the responsible use of AI-generated content. Participants will gain hands-on experience with a few AI tools, experimenting with ways to adapt prompts, critique outputs, and simulate classroom interactions that build critical thinking. By the end of the session, educators will leave with ready-to-use strategies, a clearer understanding of AI’s potential, and confidence in using these tools to enhance their students’ engagement and learning.
