Description: Participants will learn strategies to prevent problem behaviors, verbal de-escalation skills and personal safety techniques. Physical interventions will be taught to be implemented as a last resort when students are a danger to self or others. Staff will also be instructed on appropriate documentation and reporting of physical restraints.
