Description: This is 4 of 5 Saturday sessions DAY 4: Linguistics Part 2: Designed to train teachers in analyzing pronunciation of English and native language interference. This will prepare teachers for the 30 minutes listening section of the Praxis. Participants will become familiar with phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics of English and explore accents, pronunciations and sentence patterns from a different culture that might filter into English. Participants will work on analysis of speech patterns of non-native speakers.
