Description: School avoidance and refusal, driven largely by anxiety, is leading to chronic absenteeism at crisis levels, with over a quarter of K-12 students missing significant school time. In this session, Paris Carroll, MS, LMHC, & VP of Mental Health Clinical Services at Hazel Health, will explore the root causes of school avoidance and share practical strategies for early identification and re-engagement.
