Topics covered in this presentation include: 6 pillars of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), federal law; general characteristics of how disabilities may manifest for students in certain eligibility areas; general education teacher’s roles and responsibilities in supporting students with disabilities' IEP implementation and general education teacher participation in IEP meetings; and, who to reach out to for support when questions arise regarding any student disability-related needs.
