Description: This session explores strategies for integrating global education into the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Participants will gain an understanding of how NC Global Education initiatives support educators, schools, and districts in preparing students for a globally connected world. The session will highlight the range of designations and recognitions available—including the Global Educator Digital Badge, Global Ready District and School designations, and the Global Language Endorsement—and provide guidance on how these opportunities can enhance teaching, learning, and student outcomes.

Together, we will examine multilingualism, varieties of English, diverse interactional styles, and teaching materials. Through discussion and collaborative brainstorming, participants will consider how to balance professional responsibilities with advocacy in order to foster more equitable and just learning environments.
