Description: This session will deepen school leaders’ understanding of stress and trauma, their impact on student well-being, and their prevalence in K–12 settings. Participants will explore how trauma affects brain development, sensory processing, and behavior, and will examine the long-term physical and mental health impacts. Participants will understand the role of restorative practices in responding to trauma and rebuilding relationships in school communities. Pre- and post-assessments will measure growth, with a focus on applying trauma-informed strategies to support safer, more responsive school environments.
