Description: The team will meet to dive into our SmartTeach data. We will focus on DOK, language data, and how to plan for enhancing language skills in Preschool classrooms by asking higher-order thinking questions throughout the day. Pre-K teachers will collaborate with each other to brainstorm DOK questions, determine modifications for students who have developmental or language delays, and consider how to support students who are Dual-Language or Multi-Language learners. Teachers will take DOK questions back to their classroom to use during read-alouds, whole and small group activities, routines, and in learning centers. DOK resources will be shared with teachers to include in their classrooms on an ongoing basis. Teachers in licensed classrooms who are collecting documentation for Pathways to the Stars will have DOK examples they are using to increase language opportunities in the classroom.
