About me
Meghan Leet earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and M. Ed from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She began her teaching career with DPS in 2006 teaching 4th grade at Hope Valley Elementary. During this time, she mentored Duke University Teachers, earned her National Board Certification and traveled with Duke University to India collaborating with global educators. After seven years, Meghan made the transition to teach math full time at Rogers-Herr Middle School where she honed small group work in mathematics and focused on vertical alignment to increase student engagement and learning while serving as the math department chair. After 10 years as a classroom teacher, Meghan became a math interventionist providing Tier 3 support to students in Cabarrus and Wake County Schools. In 2019, Meghan opened Alston Ridge Middle School as the MTSS Coordinator responsible for developing and overseeing the schoolwide implementation of three-tiered instruction while progress monitoring to drive instructional goals and decisions. In 2021, Meghan returned to DPS to pursue her working with colleagues to increase student engagement and success as a Math Coach.
