About me
As a visual arts educator, I am in the fortunate position to teach in the affective realm. My teaching philosophy is to provide my students with cross-curricular lessons, making art relevant and rigorous while exploring a variety of learning styles and awakening the senses. Being a student of Positivity Project, Critical Friends, Circle and Beyond Diversity Training, I apply these trainings to my art room, creating a safe space for diverse self-expression. Art is collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving. Art is about failing forward, an opportunity to reinvent the artistic process and apply this learning across curriculums.
