Description: This session will introduce educators to the principles of explicit teaching and how to use them to intentionally build student skills and behaviors. Participants will learn how to clearly communicate expectations, model desired behaviors, provide guided practice, and gradually release responsibility to students. The session will emphasize the importance of not assuming students already know the academic, social, or behavioral skills we expect from them. Through practical examples and strategies, educators will leave with tools they can immediately use to make instruction more intentional, supportive, and effective.
