Participants will explore how to activate and expand students’ background knowledge, introduce key vocabulary, and establish context to prepare learners for new concepts and texts. Through modeling, collaboration, and reflection, teachers will develop strategies to make learning more meaningful and accessible, ensuring all students are equipped with the foundational knowledge needed for success.
