Project GLAD is a model of Professional Development and Learning originated in California, through the collaboration of students, educators, and researchers from the GLAD and came to NC.GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) is an instructional model that supports English learners by strengthening educational programs and practices. It is grounded in sheltered instruction and other language acquisition research. Key features of GLAD include:Integrated English-language development (ELD) and designated ELD1.Scaffolding, cooperative, student-centered experiences2.Culturally responsive teaching.NCDPI is sponsoring this workshop for Durham Public Schools.
