Dr. Dionne V. McLaughlin: Executive Director of Critical Reflections on Racial Equity Inc. (CRREI) and an Associate Professor at North Carolina Central University. She is a British-born Black Jamaican American educator who is an experienced bilingual DPS elementary and Boston Public Schools high school principal and former director of education for Concilio Hispano, a Latino Human Service Agency in Massachusetts. Dr. McLaughlin has led workshops on culturally responsive teaching, leading equitable schools and making effective leadership decisions for teachers, principals/assistant principals. Presentations: ASCD National Conference, National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), Illinois Principals Association Conference and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).
Dr. McLaughlin has also taught Anti-racism and Effective School Practices for All Students for K-12 administrators and teachers, Racial Issues in America – A Contemporary and Historical Study for high school students, and at NCCU she developed an Equity Certificate and new Graduate course- Leading High Achieving, Equitable Schools for African American and Latino Students.
