Inspired by Francis Su's powerful insight—“Math play builds confidence in struggle, hopefulness, curiosity, patience, perseverance, and the ability to change perspectives”—this professional learning session empowers secondary mathematics teachers to create joyful, student-centered learning environments that foster both a love for math and essential life skills.In this session, participants will explore how intentional math play can transform the classroom into a space where students embrace challenges, develop resilience, and discover the beauty of mathematics. Teachers will engage in playful, open-ended problem-solving experiences and reflect on how these approaches can be adapted for their students.
