Participants will develop a clear understanding of "planning with the end in mind" by learning and applying the steps of backwards design. Through this process, participants will learn how to create more meaningful and focused instructional plans that align with desired outcomes. While this session will emphasize literacy instruction, the principles of backwards design are universally applicable and can be adapted for any subject area. HMH will be the curriculum resource.
