Focused Futures: Utilizing Career Data to Drive student-Centered Instruction
Tuesday November 26, 2024 1:45pm - 3:15pm EST
In this session, attendees will learn how to support the career development of students in all content areas. Generally, as educators, we focus on the course content as a subset of student obligations and grades. The typical focus is to teach content while hoping students can derive how to pair course outcomes with being successful in the future versus explicitly teaching students ways to make potential connections with future goals and illustrating how the curriculum relates to students' potential career interests. What would happen if we chose to allow student career data to drive the facilitation of our course content versus students simply thinking that the "classwork is only for a grade?" Let's become focused on futures by emphasizing career development connections in all content area classes.

Focused Futures: Utilizing Career Data to Drive student-Centered Instruction
Tuesday November 26, 2024 2:45pm - 4:15pm EST
