STOP Violence Grant_ Restorative Practices for Educators_ Session 1 of 2 for teachers at Hillside; Northern; Riverside; or Southern High Schools

Certified IIRP Restorative Practice trainer will facility training Session 1 of 2 for Restorative Practices For Educators for selected teachers at Hillside, Northern, Riverside, and Southern High Schools (STOP Grant HS').This will be the 1 day version of IIRP Restorative Practices for Educators to be completed over the course of 2 sessionsdays: November 5 & 26. Participants will earn CEU's as well as a certificate indicating they have completed IIRP Restorative Practices training. The participants will have pre-work for each of the sessions that will be emailed to them in advance of each session. The virtual sessions will only last 2- hours and an additional hour has been allotted to accommodate the completion of the pre-work.

If you are working from the ground up on your Canvas skills or just want to expand your usage of Canvas, this could be a great PD session for you. We will focus on streamlining the set-up for your Discovery Course. You can learn Module creation, Pages vs. Assignments, and dabble into setting up different assignment types; specifically, when to use paper vs. when to set up Google LTE assignments. Google LTE assignments enable you to create an assignment using a pre-existing google document which creates a copy for your students to complete. If time permits we can also review Speed Grading and other questions you may have..
