Coaches and MTSS Facilitators will attend a Train the Trainer session on Individual Reading Plans (IRPs). IRPs are required by DPI to target student needs based on benchmark mCLASS data. Participants will receive information and materials to facilitate training with their school teams and support implementation of the developed IRPs.
During the PLC, coaches will connect and collaborate with their peers to process new learning from the Volume 2 unit; identify connections between LETRS and DPS curriculums, assessments, and processes; practice coaching instructional routines from LETRS, and receive ready to use materials to facilitate the LETRS PLC at their schools.

Participants attend a Praxis II/Pearson Preparation course designed to meet the following objectives: 1. Introduce teachers to the structure and general content of the Praxis II/Pearson Assessments. 2. Present common question types and formats, including ways to identify and strategies for answering. 3. Provide instruction in assessing content knowledge. 4. Lead teachers in using this assessment to develop a personalized study plan. 5. Provide opportunities for teachers to (a) practice Praxis II/Pearson Assessments questions in their specific content areas; (b) get feedback on their practice; (c) develop a plan of action based on the feedback; (d) learn test-taking strategies. Participants will be asked to participate in a planning survey beforehand for the purposes of gleaning information that will help our staff tailor the PD to meet their needs and can receive e-support from their learning coach until their exam
Beginning teachers are provided a space to have conversation about specific problems of practice, identify productive solutions and share knowledge tips and techniques that will improve teaching and learning. A problem and solution protocol will be used to facilitate the discussion.
The session will guide and support school process manager's as they compile and upload evidence for fully implemented objectives in Indistar. Session will be facilitated by DPI NC Star regional representative, Michael Taranto.
