Three Part Series is designed specifically for educators with Capturing Kids Heart experience looking to incorporate components of restorative practices. Authentic implementation of your school’s cultural framework is the tool by which the culture (i.e. personality) of your classroom can be redefined such that the climate (i.e. attitude) supports a learning space conducive for increasing a student’s sense of belonging. During this professional learning, participants will be able to reflect upon the culture (i.e., personality) and climate (i.e. attitude) of their classroom and apply new techniques which will positively impact student academic performance. Session 2 focused on Social Discipline Window and Affective Statements.The PL will be offered for 45 minutes during each of the planning blocks.

Session 3 is focused on affective questions and circles within a CKH framework. The focus of session 3 is on affective questioning and restorative circles. This PL is the final session which will be offered for 45 minutes during each of the planning blocks on Feb. 21, 2024.
Have a deeper understanding of the DLI programs and how to support the students.We will be using inquiry-based strategies to support the participants to discover and understand DL
Participants would have a deeper understanding of the K-5 Global Languages implementation, expectations and teaching strategies.We will be working with the why and then we will be moving to the how. We will be doing this by using different learning strategies
Participants will learn different strategies to apply in their classroom. This presentation will be hosted in Spanish to support Dual Language teachers and instructional assistants.
The participants will discover the basics of the DLI programs, and they will emerge in different activities to experience firsthand what the DLI students experience in a daily basis
