The purpose of this workshop is to enhance the skills of the learner when working with all types of students and will help support and implement the plans of a group session or PBL Club.
In this course you will learn that the power of words is a practice that helps educators and Afterschool professionals learn how the use of words, phrases and tone impact the behavior of children. Using a lecture demonstration format, participants will gain knowledge of how to use tone, key words and phrases to influence positive behavior in children. Participants will leave this workshop equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to engage in positive interactions with the children in their care.
In this course staff will want to increase the well-being of the children in their program. During instruction staff will learn to implement the 7 strengths which are: Belonging, Curiosity, Friendship, Kindness, Confidence, Courage and Hope.

In this workshop participants will learn the core principles of restorative practices and successful implementation strategies in the afterschool setting.
In this course you will learn how to conduct team building activities with children that emphasize cooperation and collaboration, not competition. These teamwork skills help to prepare kids to face dilemmas and solve problems together.
In this workshop staff will learn the guidelines and basic procedures for a SACERS visit. This workshop will provide constructive feedback for managers and group leaders to help make quality improvements to their program by developing an enhancement plan.
In this course staff will learn how to create fun and easy activities while communicating healthy conversations about interest and knowledge of what students learn. This training will help aid in positive interactions and help develop ideas for fun science activities.
In this workshop staff will learn proper gym techniques, how to provide proper supervision while having fun at the same time and how to modify games according to the child's age.
The purpose of the courses in the First Aid/CPR is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.
