“Maestras con Voz” from Isla will lead this workshop @ Southwest Elementary to provide teachers with a robust content of knowledge that illuminates a view into the future, promoting understanding and empathy across global languages and cultures. Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore and practice mindfulness exercises that will support their experiences in the classroom. From these sessions,participants will be able to develop and implement trauma-sensitive strategies to enhance and elevate the learning experience of multilingual students.
