Vocabulary, Syntax, Background Language, Oh My! Planning effective, whole-group comprehension lessons take time, but a systematic approach to this planning can make it more efficient. In this session, we will deepen our understanding of how to place Text at the Center of our ELA planning and instruction. With connections to LETRS PD and current curricular resources, participants will walk away with a lesson plan they can use right away and a process for planning rigorous instruction with complex text throughout the year.

Participants will dive into their mCLASS BOY benchmark data to inform their instruction. This session is designed to support teachers, coaches, MTSS facilitators, and interventionists. We will collaboratively learn how to analyze errors within measures to group students for differentiated instruction. We will also learn when it is appropriate to progress monitor off grade level.
