Secondary Coaches will attend NCTIES. Elementary coaches will attend Eureka 2 training at SDC.Professional learning for instructional coaches will focus on coaching skills, core content and using data to inform instruction.

Restorative practices is an essential process for creating a positive learning environment, building social capital, and resolving relational issues. During this two-day introductory experience, participants will learn the fundamental theory for restorative practices, and explore practices for building and strengthening relationships and community.

This is the final session of the three part series is designed specifically for educators with Capturing Kids Heart experience looking to incorporate components of restorative practices. Session 3 is focused on affective questions and circles within a CKH framework. The focus of session 3 is on affective questioning and restorative circles. This PL is the final session which will be offered for 45 minutes during each of the planning blocks on Feb. 21, 2024.

Teachers will share activities to prep 4th grade students for their field to see the NC Symphony Orchestra. They will hear from the composer-in-residence with the NC Symphony.
