A forklift certification is the result of a training program that ensures employees have the aptitude, knowledge and safety standards in order to operate a forklift without risk of injury or damage to company property.
Teachers will have the opportunity to explore our DPS Hub Farm and all that it has to offer! Plant starts will be available for free for the DPS community. During this time, there will be a School Garden meeting for any educator that is interested in getting more involved, or growing, a school garden.
This session is for CKH schools ONLY. Participants will have the opportunity to revisit, explore, and further grow the foundational skills learned from Capturing Kids’ Hearts PD. This is a full-staff training (new and returning). Elementary (1:00-3:30p) MS (2:00-4:30p)
Classroom management strategies that incorporate restorative practices into our routines. Restorative Practices focus on fostering a sense of community within classrooms to prevent conflict, and on reacting to misconduct by encouraging students to accept responsibility and rebuild relationships.
This collaborative session willhelp DPS teachers of all content areas explore and plan using district resources and PLC supports to provide POWERFUL Literacy Based Instruction & Intervention in ALL Classes.Teachers will examine data from the universal reading screener to explore how to differentiate core instruction, plan core interventions, and consider more intensive interventions to ensure student criticality and acceleration.

In this training teachers will learn what 4Let's Get Growing4 means as well as various data points used to determine growth. Teachers will be trained on procedures for this initiative.
This team of educators willshare ideas to enhance their teaching practice and create a learning environment where all students can reach their fullest potential.
This session will be for all staff with different strategies on how to practice self care and to look at the bigger picture of what is in front of you.
Teachers will develop an understanding of how EL students are identified and assessed. Teachers will learn how to use and interpret ACCESS scores for the EL students they teach and will be ready to implement at least 2 differentiation strategies to support their ELs.
In this session, teachers will understand the rights afforded to students with disabilities by IDEA, dig into one of their student's IEPs to identify strengths, needs, accommodations, and modifications for them, and articulate the role of general educators in IEP development.
Paticipants will learn to navigate the Nuclueus LMS platform and gain knowledge to employ the set of robotic spheres. Lesson plan options in their Coding & Robotics courses will be explored and practiced.

Join us as we examine Joe Feldman's book Grading For Equity to examine strategies, examples, and insights, as well as explore the potential impact of grading upon equity. This book study is in partnership with DPS Advanced Academics, DPS Curriculum and Instruction, and DPS Equity Affairs and Professional Development. Participants will be eligible for CEUs upon completion of the book study components. By the end of our book study, learners will be able to:-Discuss the purpose of grading.-Examine grading strategies.-Brainstorm course-specific strategies to improve equity in grading -Implement a strategy to make grading more equitable. -Discuss equitable grading strategies in the context of specific school settings

We all have performances in some capacity at our individual schools, so we dicsussed how our schools excute those events.We shared how our schools involve each of us in the planning process, how often we have them, and what was in the works for this school specifically.We problem solved with each other in how to make them the most effective and creative performances they could be, which allowed for collaborative planning.
