This PL is offered to BSAs/BSTs to discuss the processes involved in the request for Behavior and how to best support schools with responding to challenging behaviors.
Learn the Githens Way: Instructional Expectations, Whole School Intervention Training, Behavior Management and a review of school policies over the course of our in-house beginning of year Teacher Work Days
This session is REQUIRED for all K-5 arts teachers. K-5 arts teachers will meet their lead teachers, learn about NC Arts Education, DPS District Arts Events, and have the opportunity to dive deeper into content based on their needs.

This session is REQUIRED for all elementary media coordinators to discuss updates, currriculum connections, Battle of the books, and collection development projects.

Teachers will complete the tasks in their workbook and discuss the chapter in the context of their instruction as well as provide useful resources to their general education colleagues when applicable.
Schools will choose and customize their family outreach using the resources provided by the district, informing and empowering families with information to support student academic success
Traditional MTSS facilitators and coaches will learn about UFLI Foundations, our supplemental intervention literacy program. They will also learn how to support their school based teams in its implementation.
